Self-Serve MCP Keys, Now With YouTube Posts

New: Generate your own MCP key in Settings

Glystn's MCP just became self-serve. Head to Settings → MCP, click Generate key, and you'll get a fresh API key you can drop straight into Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP client. No more pinging us to spin one up — and no waiting.

How it works

  1. Open Settings → MCP, click Generate key, give it an optional name, and copy the key from the dialog — it's only shown once, so stash it somewhere safe.
  2. Paste it into your MCP client config. The Settings page walks you through the Claude Desktop snippet with the mcp-remote bridge and an X-API-Key header — copy and run.
  3. You're live. Every tool call — social_search, get_posts, find_similar, creator_discovery, and the rest — runs under your account, against your credits.

Keys you control

  • Run up to 5 keys at once. Name them per integration — one for Claude Desktop, one for Cursor, one for that agent you've been tinkering with — and revoke any of them from the same page.
  • See exactly what's being used. Each row shows a key preview, when it was created, when it was last used, and total request count — so stale or compromised keys are obvious at a glance.
  • Billed from your credit pool. MCP tool calls cost 1 credit each, drawn from the same pool you already use for Chat. If you're on an unlimited plan, MCP stays unlimited — no metering, no surprises.

Also new: YouTube in get_posts

The get_posts MCP tool now accepts YouTube URLs alongside Instagram and TikTok. Pass watch links, youtu.be shortlinks, or Shorts URLs — Glystn fetches them live via the YouTube API and returns the title, description, stats, top comments, and transcript where available. You can mix and match platforms in a single call, up to 25 URLs at a time. Full schema and examples are on the docs page.

A clearer Plans page

The Plans page got a refresh. Every tier now spells out exactly what a credit buys you — 1 per chat prompt, 1 per MCP call, 1 per creator vetted, 10 per trend board, 10 per weekly digest — so you can size your plan to the way you actually use Glystn. Annual billing is a single toggle at the top of the page with the savings called out, and the copy across Starter, Unlimited, and Enterprise cards lines up consistently.
